Many members of the Edgemont Community are looking for ways to help during this crisis. The programs below were created and coordinated by local residents to help those impacted by COVID-19. Treats For Healthcare:
Members of the community are providing baked items for local medical professionals and their teams at:

Meals for Healthcare Workers:
Caring for Covid Relief – Aubrey Graf-Daniels and Melissa Tomlin are running a program to order food from local restaurants for EMTs, hospitals and police departments. You can support this directly via Venmo at Aubrey-GrafDaniels or contact them for more details.

Meals for three locations of NY Presbyterian are being coordinated by Ardsley resident Susan Chong, wife of the head of their ICU, Dr. David Chong. To contribute to this effort, please Venmo her at @Susan-Chong-10
Edgemont resident and ER doctor, Elaine Josephson, has requested bottled water for her colleagues at Lincoln Medical Center in the South Bronx. Elaine asks that water bottles be dropped off at her doorstep at 8 Tanglewood Road, off of Fort Hill Road. Please email her in advance at firstname.lastname@example.org
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Protective Personal Equipment is critically needed in all of our hospitals. Many residents are trying to close the gap by coordinating donations of goods and/or funds towards purchasing PPE.

Edgemont residents are working to sew homemade masks to address the shortages. If you’re skilled in sewing or have materials and would like to contribute to the effort, contact Elise Houpt.
Scrubs Donation – Anna Flattau
The Edgemont Community Council has a team of volunteers who will help high risk residents with grocery shopping, pharmacy pickups and other critical errands. To request assistance or volunteer, contact email@example.com

Youth Community Outreach Program of Mount Vernon – Volunteers are needed to assist Y-COP hand out “Grab and Go Lunches” to the community. Volunteers will help pack and distribute the food, distribute flyers, set up and clean up, and help monitor and maintain social distancing Tao help, please visit: https://ycop.wordpress.com
Westchester Community College Student Emergency Fund – Support students at Westchester Community College towards completing their college educations and providing much needed resources. Many students at WCC are local babysitters, bank tellers and cashiers who have lost their jobs recently and are worried they will be unable to complete their degree.
